Brewers Make History With 56-Hit Weekend, Extend MLB-Best Run Since June
The Milwaukee Brewers are on an absolute tear—and they just made history to prove it.
In a weekend sweep over the Washington Nationals, Milwaukee racked up an eye-popping 56 hits across three games. According to a post on X, formerly known as Twitter by OptaStats, that’s the most by a National League team in a three-game series since the Brooklyn Dodgers collected 57 hits against the Pittsburgh Pirates back in June 1950— over 75 years ago.
And this isn’t just a one-series surge. Since June 10, no team in baseball has been better than the Brewers.
Unmatched Momentum
With their three-game sweep of Washington following a clean sweep of the Braves, the Brewers have now gone 32-12 over their last 44 games—a league-best .727 winning percentage in that span.
Their offense has been relentless, ranking first in the majors in batting average (.289), OBP (.353), slugging (.452), and OPS (.806) since June 10. They’ve scored 262 runs, smashed 52 home runs, and collected 441 total hits—including 81 doubles and six triples.
League-Leading Offense Since June 10
Here’s how the Brewers stack up among the top five teams by win percentage since June 10:
| Team | Record | Win % | Hits | Runs | HR | AVG | OBP | SLG | OPS |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Brewers | 32-12 | .727 | 441 | 262 | 52 | .289 | .353 | .452 | .806 |
| Marlins | 31-15 | .674 | 404 | 216 | 50 | .258 | .320 | .417 | .737 |
| Red Sox | 30-15 | .667 | 376 | 222 | 57 | .250 | .312 | .447 | .760 |
| Blue Jays | 29-18 | .617 | 449 | 250 | 53 | .278 | .348 | .432 | .780 |
| Rangers | 27-20 | .574 | 400 | 244 | 53 | .245 | .320 | .404 | .724 |
No team has tallied more total bases (690) or extra-base hits (139) during that stretch.
A Statement Stretch
The offensive explosion has come at the perfect time. Milwaukee not only swept a surging Atlanta team but followed that up by overwhelming Washington—dominating the series in every facet, including a mix of power, speed, and clutch hitting.
More impressively, all this comes as Milwaukee pushes deeper into the second half with momentum and a growing lead in the National League standings.
What’s Next?
With just under two months left in the regular season, the Brewers are now officially among the league’s most dangerous teams. Whether they can sustain this pace through October remains to be seen, but right now, no team in baseball is hitting—or winning—more consistently than Milwaukee.
